Which Airport?
Liverpool John Lennon Airport (JLA) — 20 minutes from Anfield. Served by Ryanair, easyJet, Wizz Air. Budget airlines, smaller terminal, faster through arrivals. If your route exists via JLA, take it.
Manchester Airport — 50 minutes from Anfield. Served by every major airline including KLM, Lufthansa, Air France, SAS, TAP. More routes, bigger terminal, longer arrivals process. Better for intercontinental or premium cabin flights.
Our recommendation: JLA if available. Manchester if you need airline choice or specific flight times. We collect from both at the same fixed price standard.
Getting from the Airport to Anfield
Public transport from either airport to Anfield is poor. JLA has a bus to the city centre (30 min) then another bus to Anfield (20 min). Manchester Airport has a train to Liverpool Lime Street (90 min) then a taxi or bus.

Where to Eat Before the Match

Hope Street — the upmarket option. The Philharmonic Dining Rooms (most ornate pub in England), The Art School, 60 Hope Street. A 10-minute drive from Anfield.
Where to Stay
City centre hotels are best — Anfield is in a residential area with no nearby hotels worth recommending. Stay central, your driver transfers you.
Budget: Premier Inn Liverpool City Centre, ibis Styles. Mid-range: Shankly Hotel (football heritage), Pullman. Premium: Hope Street Hotel, Titanic Hotel (Stanley Dock), 30 James Street.
